Heterophasia pulchella (Godwin-Austen, 1874) - Beautiful Sibia

Subspecies in India

Subspecies nigroauritus, which ranges north of the Brahmaputra River, has black ear-coverts. In the nominate subspecies, which occurs south of the Brahmaputra River, black is restricted around the eye, to lores (Grimmett et al. 2011).
